Ed served as a Research Associate at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. After his time at the Fed working on Microfinance projects for Phillipines community banks, he began a program in Climate and Society at Columbia University which examines the interplay between policy and climate change's effect upon vulnerable populations. Ed received his Masters of Science in Earth Resource Engineering from Columbia University, and his Bachelors of Arts in Economics and Political Science from Columbia University and is currently a PhD candidate in Earth and Environmental Engineering with Dr. Klaus Lackner researching Carbon Capture issues.
He is a recipient of a Department of Energy grant. Ed provides technical assistance to candidates and designs campaign systems, and evaluates legislation on their technical merits. His experience includes work with children diagnosed with ADHD/ADD. Ed teaches free SAT classes in the Lower East Side and Chinatown.
Ed's most recent research has led to two patents expected to finalize in November 2012. They are based on using electrochemical methods to take sequestered Carbon Dioxide from the air and turn it into hydrocarbons.
