ARNHEM, The Netherlands, December 2 /PRNewswire/ -- ARCADIS (EURONEXT: ARCAD), the international consulting, design, engineering and management services company, announced today that LFR Inc., a fully owned subsidiary of ARCADIS has been awarded a multi-million dollar Guaranteed Site Solutions(TM) (GSS) Environmental Services Agreement with Kinder Morgan Canada Terminals Limited (KMCT), a partnership for the Vancouver Wharves facility in North Vancouver, Canada.

The scope of work will span 10-years and includes the assumption of specific environmental obligations that incorporate KMCT's sustainable business operations and best practices. Additional services will include managing the environmental remediation and compliance monitoring during the facility expansion and upgrade. The project will be managed by an LFR project team located in North Vancouver, Canada. Additional support will be provided by U.S. team members and ARCADIS' global network.

The environmental market sector recognizes the benefits of using innovative environmental risk transfer tools like GSS(TM) and GRiP(R) to enhance their remediation activities, stated Frank Lorincz, CEO of LFR. LFR in conjunction with ARCADIS is now positioned to capitalize on extensive U.S. experience in the international market.

LFR services will be implemented under an innovative contracting structure which includes the use of a unique integrated risk insurance product. This contract is uniquely structured to address KMCT's expansion program and is a new contracting mechanism in the Canadian market place Lorincz said. Given LFR's recent merger with ARCADIS, we could use ARCADIS' advanced technology and extensive risk management experience to support winning this project.
