CHICAGO, November 4, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- Fieldglass, Inc., the leading technology provider to procure and manage contingent labor and services, today announced it was named the largest VMS provider by Staffing Industry Analysts (SIA). In the firm's 2010 VMS and MSP Supplier Competitive Landscape report, Fieldglass ranked highest in both number of labor programs as well as temporary and contract staffing services spend, where it surpassed that of its nearest competitor by more than US$2 billion.

Fieldglass also led the vendor rankings in several geographies. According to the research, the company supports the most labor programs in Central America, South America and the Middle East. Fieldglass also supports or tied for the most number of programs in 26 countries, or approximately 31 percent of those included in the report.

SIA offers insight into overall VMS and Managed Service Provider (MSP) industry trends. One overwhelming trend was the significant increase in services spend. While total VMS and MSP spend under management increased 21 percent, Statement of Work (SOW) spend grew by 45 percent over the previous year. VMS spend under management for services now exceeds US$12.6 billion.
