MCHENRY, Illinois, January 10, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Follett International, a global supplier of educational materials in 148 countries, announced today it has added more than 4.5 million U.K. and global educational titles to Titlewave, its online collection development, analysis and ordering tool.

"We are adapting to a world that expects and wants a one-stop experience for global content," said Zac Colandrea, vice president, Follett International. "Therefore, we have exponentially increased the number of international titles we offer."

Titlewave now offers 6.2 million titles in the U.S. Pre-K-12 market and U.K. nursery to senior school markets. This is a significant jump from the 1.7 million titles previously offered. Follett International partners with thousands of U.K. and U.S. publishers and key distributors around the world to provide books, eBooks and high-quality, curriculum-focused audiovisual materials. By choosing Follett, Colandrea said educators' orders will be serviced to their specifications and delivered in a timely fashion, with the customer service Follett has prided itself on for 135 years.

Colandrea added that the launch of Titlewave will allow Follett to provide more content to customers, target new markets and provide a more "international experience" for users. A customer will now be able to choose among 52 different currencies when accessing Titlewave and enjoy expeditious delivery capabilities around the world. Titlewave boasts education-based, full-search capabilities and collection development resources for both library and classroom collections.

Attendees at the European Council of International Schools (ECIS) Conference in Nice, France in mid-November received a sneak preview of the enhanced Titlewave. "Teachers and librarians were very excited to learn they will now be able to order all of their books from one source," Colandrea said, "and that they'll receive the same high fill rates and fast turnaround Follett is known for."
