POOLE, England, June 21, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- Kelly Brook has been voted as number one celebrity body in a new survey commissioned by Fitness First.

The world's largest privately owned health club group surveyed over 2,000 people to rate celebrity bodies and their own personal fitness goals. Actress and model Kelly Brook was voted the best celebrity body with 32 per cent of the votes, with Eva Mendes coming in a close second with 29 per cent.

Derek Crawford, UK national fitness manager for Fitness First said This survey shows the positive movement of fitness ideals from skinny to healthy which is an excellent result. Kelly Brook is a great role model for a healthy lifestyle and advocate for doing exercise that you enjoy such as cycling and walking. It helps women to set healthy and achievable goals in their aims for a better body.

Almost 50 per cent of men and 60 per cent of women chose their stomach as the body part they would like to improve, which mirrors the popularity of Fitness First's group exercise Body Pump and Core classes in the UK.

Body Pump sessions look to increase lean tissue, speeding up the body's metabolic rate and helping to burn body fat, whilst the Core classes focus on the muscles in the abdominal and back area, conditioning the body as a whole.

Over a quarter of women also rated their legs and thighs as an area they'd like to improve, voting celebrity actress Cameron Diaz as having the best legs in the celebrity world. Cameron is reportedly a fan of varied workouts including surfing and martial arts after seeing the results training for the Charlie's Angels films.

Fitness First encourages variety in a workout plan for all its members, to keep exercising interesting and challenging, Derek continues. Members looking to tone their legs the celebrity way can take part in our Kickboxing classes, which are available in clubs throughout the UK. The more traditional Legs, Bums and Tums classes are also excellent for strengthening muscles and toning up the problem areas.
