The addition of Rao allows Savvis to expand its investment in its global channel for new distribution models.

In his role, Rao will establish and expand existing relationships between Savvis and its alliance partners, including independent software vendors (ISVs), application providers and system integrators, while overseeing the launch of new Savvis solutions to the market to drive growth.

With more than 20 years of experience in technology, operations, sales, services and alliances, Rao most recently ran the ISV Alliances team at Salesforce.com, where he worked with the technology companies to build and deploy cloud-based applications. Prior to that, Rao was part of the management team at Embarcadero Technologies and also at Critical Path, which provided hosted messaging services to more than 30 million global customers. His career began at Oracle, where he spent 11 years in software development, sales and services.
