Britain's Missing Top Model star, Kellie Moody has been signed up by Siemens Hearing Instruments UK, to promote its products and front campaigns.

Former Miss Deaf UK, Kellie Moody starred in the hit BBC Three series Britain's Missing Top Model and highlighted several issues surrounding awareness of hearing loss. Viewers saw Kellie leaving the show on July 22nd after narrowly missing out on the final.

Kellie, 24, a make-up artist for MAC, who lives in Leicester, is profoundly deaf and can hear nothing without hearing instruments.

"I'm very pleased at being given the opportunity to work for Siemens to be a role model for young deaf people", said Kellie Moody.

"Hearing instruments have developed so much and I'm amazed at the size and technology available."

"I was aware before Siemens contacted me that they specialised in the design and manufacture of hearing instruments, however, I did not know how advanced they were in their design. I recently visited Siemens Hearing Instruments office in West Sussex and was amazed at the complexity of the hearing aids and the enthusiasm of all the people that worked there," she added.

Asked what could be done to tackle issues such as the stigma surrounding hearing instruments, Kellie said: "I feel that Siemens Hearing Instruments can encourage more people to wear hearing instruments, especially the image conscious younger generation by continuing to work on innovative ideas to make them smaller and more powerful.

"I'm extremely pleased to promote Siemens products and to spread the message that hearing instruments are no longer big and ugly, they can also be fashionable too."

"We are delighted to have Kellie on board as the face of our hearing instruments, and we look forward to working with her on a variety of activities," said Siemens UK marketing and product manager Darren Ransley.
