NEW YORK, February 5 /PRNewswire/ --

- Forum for Accomplished Women Entrepreneurs Launches in London

The Women Presidents' Organization (WPO) will launch a new chapter in London, England on Wednesday, February 13 introducing the first WPO presence in the United Kingdom. The WPO is the premier organization for accomplished woman entrepreneurs grossing at least US$2 million in annual revenue (US$1 million for a service-based business), or the pound equivalent.

Through the WPO, a diverse group of women presidents are able to tap into the collective wisdom of their peers and advance their business success. Local WPO chapters are coordinated by a professional facilitator and meet monthly to share business expertise and experience in a confidential and collaborative setting. The London chapter facilitator is Sue Stockdale, founder of Mission Possible. In ten years, the WPO membership has grown to over 78 chapters and 1200 members strong in the United States, Canada and Peru.

The WPO's presence will support the growth of accomplished women presidents and encourage the rise of the female entrepreneurial rate which is currently at half that of the male equivalent. Small businesses that are majority female-owned account for between 12% and 16% of all UK business stock.

"I am delighted to help introduce WPO into the UK because I firmly believe in the value of women supporting their peers who enable them to take their businesses to the next level," said Sue Stockdale, founder of Mission Possible.

"We are so proud to be able to connect women presidents and CEOs from across the globe," said Marsha Firestone, Ph.D., president and founder of the WPO, "The growth of the WPO internationally is a testament to the success of, and increase in women-led companies worldwide."
